The 2012 Toyota Yaris - the UK details
We’ve been trailing the 2012 Toyota Yaris since the end of last year when Toyota in Japan unveiled the JDM Toyota Viz ( the Japanese version of the Yaris) and again a month ago with the unofficial Euro details. But now Toyota UK has decided – especially as the 2012 Yaris is starting to roll off production lines in Europe from today – that they may as well make the new Yaris official, give us some details and let us know exactly how much a new Yaris will now cost. The Yaris will come in four flavours of trim – T2, TR, SR and Spirit – although Toyota say that a full two thirds of sales are of the TR trim.
New Toyota Prius to match Honda Insight on price. [ad#ad-1]
The next generation Toyota Prius is upon us, and it looks like Toyota are taking the threat from the Honda Insight very seriously indeed. When the Honda Insight was announced, and it was clear that Honda was intent on pitching the Insight below the Toyota Prius price, reports from Japan said that Toyota were going to continue to make the outgoing Prius, but pitch it beneath the price of the Honda.
This is a no-brainer to AutoWeek readers, but the National Motorists Association has launched a publicity campaign urging drivers to not block the left lane and cause traffic problems. The group has named June "Lane Courtesy Month," which coincides with higher traffic volumes for the summer. The group says a driver is lane-courteous when he or she is keeping clear of the left lane unless passing slower-moving vehicles, then moving back into the right lane as soon as possible.
